Manufacturer bench figures (Happymodel bench, 20000 KV on a Gemfan 1610 2-blade at 1S (3.7 V); 8 current steps 0.5-3.74 A, throttle not published); real-world thrust varies with ESC, battery sag and prop condition.

RS 0802 vs other 0802 motors on 1S

The same thrust costs different power on different motors. Each line is one maker's own bench series (1S, its own prop), drawn as grams of thrust per watt against thrust, so a higher line makes that thrust for less battery current. Throttle percent is left out on purpose: it means something different on every maker's rig.

Power at 20 g is read off each maker's curve, straight-line between its two nearest bench points; 20 g is the highest thrust every motor here reached. Different props and rigs move these curves as much as the motor does, so compare rows on a similar prop. Peak thrust of every 0802 motor: 0802 motors compared. How to read a bench table: reading motor bench tables.

Thrust-to-weight with this motor

Four Happymodel RS 0802 motors at 34.8 g max thrust each give 139.2 g: 2:1, the minimum to fly, up to 69.6 g all-up; 4:1 (freestyle) up to 34.8 g; 8:1 (racing) up to 17.4 g.

Where this data comes from

The rows are Happymodel's own bench table, published as an HTML table in the body of its product post on happymodel.cn - the first brand in this dataset whose bench data is markup rather than a photographed sheet, so every figure here is the source's own text. The template is a no-load block (2 V, its current, its speed and the KV that measurement implies) repeated beside a run of Voltage / Current / Thrust / Efficiency / Power rows and the propeller. It steps CURRENT, not throttle, and publishes no per-row RPM, so both those columns are empty here. No spec-block cross-check is possible on this brand: Happymodel's Specifications blocks state no maximum power and no maximum current. Every row reproduces its own printed power as Voltage x Current to within 0.01 W, and its printed efficiency as Thrust / Power. Its no-load block is 0.46 A and 40790 RPM at 2 V, i.e. a measured 20395 KV against a 20000 KV nameplate. Identity with Happymodel's own Specifications block is six figures to the digit: the 8 mm x 2 mm stator, 20000 KV, a 1.5 mm shaft, 9N12P, Ø10.5x13.5 mm and 2 g, all of which our RaceDayQuads listing reprints. The RS0802 is also sold as a 25000 KV winding; Happymodel's table covers only the 20000 KV one, so this page's rows are the whole of what the brand publishes for it.
