Manufacturer bench figures (HGLRC bench, 2750 KV at 4S/6S, 4800 KV at 3S/4S and 5500 KV (not sold here) at 3S/4S, two throttle points per prop run on each of four 2.5-4in props); real-world thrust varies with ESC, battery sag and prop condition.

Thrust-to-weight with this motor

Four HGLRC SPECTER 1404 motors at 458 g max thrust each give 1832 g: 2:1, the minimum to fly, up to 916 g all-up; 4:1 (freestyle) up to 458 g; 8:1 (racing) up to 229 g.

Where this data comes from

The rows are HGLRC's own 'Efficacy table', published as an image in the description gallery of the motor's product page on hglrc.com - the eighth brand this dataset has read a manufacturer sheet from, and the first whose sheet publishes a per-run MOTOR TEMPERATURE. One template across the whole SPECTER line: columns Prop (inch) / Voltages (V) / Throttle (%) / Load Currency (A) / Pull (g) / Power (W) / Efficiency (g/W) / Temperature (in full throttle load 5's). Two throttle points per prop run, 50% and 100%, no RPM column at all, and the temperature is one figure per voltage block measured after five seconds at full throttle, not per row. This page carries THREE tables, one per winding, and all three are reproduced. The 5500 KV is a version our retail source does not carry (HGLRC: 9.6 g with wires, rated 2-4S, 15.8 A / 234 W, which is its HQ 3*2.5*3 14.8 V 100% row), so its 12 rows carry no max thrust figure here; its peak is 475 g on that row. Every 5500 KV row is its own voltage x its own current, and its HQ 3*3*3 and GF4*2*2 props are benched at 11.1 V only. The 2750 KV table's GF4*2*2 prop and the 4800 KV table's GF4*2*2 prop are benched at one voltage only, the second block left empty, so each table is 14 rows and not 16. TWO SOURCE DEFECTS, reproduced as printed rather than repaired: (1) on the 2750 KV table's GF2.5*4*3 22.2 V pair the Power column is 14.8 V x current, not 22.2 V x current (11.8 W at 0.8 A, 55.5 W at 3.75 A), which also inflates the efficiency those two rows print - every other row on both tables is its own voltage x its own current to the digit; (2) the 4800 KV table's GF2.5*4*3 block labels its four throttle points 25/50/75/100% where every other block on every SPECTER table prints 50/100%, and its currents (1.5, 7.3, 1.7, 7.9 A) are the low-high pattern of a 50/100% pair at each voltage. The windings also differ in rated voltage - HGLRC states 4-6S for the 2750 KV and 3-4S for the 4800 KV, against the single 4-6S our retail listing prints for the page. The brand's headline figures land: 6.9 A for the 2750 KV is that table's HQ 3*3*3 22.2 V 100% row, and 223 W for the 4800 KV is its HQ 3*3*3 14.8 V 100% row (223.5 W).
