Manufacturer bench figures (RCinPower bench, three props at 16 V (4S) and 12 V (3S), 25/50/75/100% throttle; no RPM published); real-world thrust varies with ESC, battery sag and prop condition.

Supernova 1404 vs other 1404 motors on 4S

The same thrust costs different power on different motors. Each line is one maker's own bench series (4S, its own prop), drawn as grams of thrust per watt against thrust, so a higher line makes that thrust for less battery current. Throttle percent is left out on purpose: it means something different on every maker's rig.

Power at 300 g is read off each maker's curve, straight-line between its two nearest bench points; 300 g is the highest thrust every motor here reached. Different props and rigs move these curves as much as the motor does, so compare rows on a similar prop. Peak thrust of every 1404 motor: 1404 motors compared. How to read a bench table: reading motor bench tables.

Thrust-to-weight with this motor

Four AOS RC Supernova 1404 motors at 474 g max thrust each give 1896 g: 2:1, the minimum to fly, up to 948 g all-up; 4:1 (freestyle) up to 474 g; 8:1 (racing) up to 237 g.

Where this data comes from

The sheet is RC IN POWER's own test-report template (its footer prints [email protected]) under the AOS RC name, and it is the description image on this retail listing; rcinpower.com's own G-SERIES index publishes no AOS 1404 at any id. It is headed "MOTORS: AOS 1404 -4000KV" and its Technical Datas block is the listing's Specifications block to the digit - 9N12P, 14 mm stator diameter, 4.5 mm stator length, 1.5 mm shaft (2 mm inside), 18.75x13.2 mm body, 10.2 g with 3 cm wire, idle 0.77 A at 10 V, 3S-4S, 335 W max continuous, 20.9 A max current - plus one figure the listing omits, an internal resistance of 150 mOhm. The block's maxima are its own HQ TD2.9*2.7*3 full-throttle row (334.4 W / 20.9 A), under a "3S" label that row contradicts: it is the 16 V (4S) run. Only three of the twelve rows are at 12 V. The drawings give two square M2 patterns and only one of them is the mount: 9x9 mm on the base, 5x5 mm on the bell, which is the prop pattern. The stator length the sheet and the listing both print is 4.5 mm, where the model name says 1404. Temperature after 3 s at full throttle: 72-83 degC
