Manufacturer bench figures (VCI Hobby bench, 2450 and 2750 KV at 6S (24 V), 3750 and 4000 KV at 4S (16 V), one to three props per winding, 8 throttle points (30-100%) per run); real-world thrust varies with ESC, battery sag and prop condition.

Spark 1404 vs other 1404 motors on 6S

The same thrust costs different power on different motors. Each line is one maker's own bench series (6S, its own prop), drawn as grams of thrust per watt against thrust, so a higher line makes that thrust for less battery current. Throttle percent is left out on purpose: it means something different on every maker's rig.

Power at 200 g and 400 g is read off each maker's curve, straight-line between its two nearest bench points; 400 g is the highest thrust every motor here reached. Different props and rigs move these curves as much as the motor does, so compare rows on a similar prop. Peak thrust of every 1404 motor: 1404 motors compared. Thrust-to-weight with this motor

Four VCI HOBBY Spark 1404 motors at 368 g max thrust each give 1472 g: 2:1, the minimum to fly, up to 736 g all-up; 4:1 (freestyle) up to 368 g; 8:1 (racing) up to 184 g.

Where this data comes from

The rows are VCI Hobby's own 'Testing Dates' table, published as an image in the Specifications tab of the motor's product page on vcihobby.com. The sheet PRINTS NO RPM COLUMN, so every row here carries an empty RPM. VCI sells and benches this motor in four windings and all four tables are here; `kv_options` keeps the 4000 KV our retail source sells, so max thrust is the 4000 KV's own best, 368 g on a GF 3016-3 at 4S; the 2750 KV winding peaks at 422 g on the same prop at 6S. Every row reproduces its own run's identities (printed Power = its voltage x printed current, printed Efficiency = Thrust / Power), and all four panels' peak current and maximum power land on a row of their own winding to the digit. The panels give a per-winding internal resistance, 420, 325, 220 and 190 mOhm, which is why resistance_mohm stays empty. Identity with our retail listing is 4000 KV, the 1404 stator (the panels print Ø14*L4 mm), 4S and 10.1 g including cable, which is the 4000 KV panel's own weight; the other three windings weigh 10.2-10.4 g. max_thrust_g is the sold winding's own best (owner ruling 2026-10-20: it comes from a winding the page sells; rows of other windings stay).
